The acronym IGAE stands for General Inspectorate of State Administration.
THE CLAIM
The circulation of an image published by an Angolan news portal, whose text reads:
IGAE FOLLOWS TRAIL OF FOUR AIRPLANES PURCHASED WITH PUBLIC FUNDS WHICH ARE UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF PRIVATE PARTIES; and it has TAAG’s aircrafts stamped on the image.
THE FACTS
The edition of Friday, April 28th, 2023, of Jornal O País refers to the following cover story «IGAE FOLLOWS THE TRAIL OF FOUR AIRCRAFT PURCHASED WITH PUBLIC FUNDS», which could be read on pages 8 and 9 of the same newspaper. Below, you will see the link of the news article and its cover.
IGAE denuncia existência de quatro aviões adquiridos com fundos públicos sob gestão de particulares

Likewise, the Angolan news portal: angola24horas.com published the same article, in its edition of Saturday, April 29th, 2023, as you will see below, the a screenshot of the headline’s image and its hyperlink:

Thus, an excerpt from the article reads:
“The General Inspection of State Administration (IGAE) denounced, to the Attorney General’s Office, the existence of four aircraft acquired with funds embezzled from the treasury that are in the sphere of private individuals.“
As can be seen, in this paragraph, no mention was made of the the four aircraft belonging to TAAG.
Now, let’s look at the next paragraph:
“The aircraft, namely two of the Airbus 315 type, an Airbus 350 and a Falcon, are on the list of assets to be recovered, as part of the fight against corruption and related offenses in Public Administration.“
In this part of the article, the aircraft are also not mentioned as belonging to TAAG.
At no time, does the article mention TAAG, much less, in it, was there conceived an assumption that resembles to that.
THE VERDICT
Totally false! In no instance, do the articles mention or involve the national flag carrier, therefore, we conclude that the image was purposely created to induce readers to the malicious thought that the four aircraft under investigation by the IGAE belong to TAAG. TAAG’s aircrafts should not appear in the image, but they had to be included in it, to serve the negligent purpose for which the image was conceived.
