On the 24th of April, the angolan Council of Ministers considered the Resolution approving Angola’s accession to the Single African Air Transport Market.
Angola’s adherence to the declaration of the Single African Air Transport Market was one of the dossiers discussed during the session, that was presided over by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
The legal document reffereing to the Declaration of SAATM was presented by the Minister of Transport. The SAATM aims to contribute to the liberalization of access to the air transport market on the African continent, with benefits for States, namely:
- The opening of new routes;
- Higher frequency of flights;
- Greater number of air connections;
- Lower rates; etc
