RwandAir to launch direct flights to Paris

For the first time, RwandAir has announced plans to launch direct flights to Paris.

The service, which will be offered three times a week between Kigali and Paris CDG, will launch on June 27, departing the Rwandan capital at 0030 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Paris at 0930.

It will depart from the French capital at 21:30 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Kigali at 06:00 the following day. The new route represents the only direct service between Rwanda and France, and adds to the carrier’s existing flights to London Heathrow, which have been operating non-stop since November last year (having previously routed via Brussels).Commenting on the news, Yvonne Makolo, CEO of RwandAir, said:

“The launch of our first flights to Paris is an exciting development in RwandAir’s continued expansion and a testament to the importance of Franco-Rwandan relations.”

“France is an important market for RwandAir as we connect the continents of Africa and Europe through our hub in Kigali with this new direct service to Paris, one of the world’s top tourist destinations.”

“French travelers can look forward to a warm welcome aboard our maiden flight today and for years to come as we deepen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between France and Rwanda.”
