Today (October 5) the angolan Supreme Court denied the request for parole of the defendant, Augusto Tomás, former Minister of Transport.
He was sentenced to 7 years and a month in prison, after reformulating the legal framework in view of the entry into force of the New Penal Code.
Augusto Tomás was arrested in September 2018, and reached the middle of his sentence in April this year. The Supreme Court says that it denied the appeal, because the penalty is lenient for conduct as serious as the accused.
