
In the midst of the ongoing strike in 17 ASECNA States (Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa, created in Senegal in 1959), IFATCA issued a statement expressing concern over the alarming situation in the airspace of that Region.
One of the most striking passages is the one that states the following: “a large number of air traffic controllers were arrested, especially in Congo Brazzaville and Douala (Cameroon).
IFATCA is the organization that brings together the professional associations of air traffic controllers from around the world, with approximately 100 affiliated associations, which together bring together more than 50,000 members.
