In the midst of the ongoing strike in 17 ASECNA States (Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa, created in Senegal in 1959), IFALPA issued a statement expressing concern over the alarming situation in the airspace of that Region.
One of the most noteworthy passages is the one that states the following: “a great number of air traffic controlers have been replaced with unqualified and unlicensed people”.
IFALPA is the International Federation of Airline Pilots Associations (IFALPA, for its acronym in English) therefore, it is the organization that brings together the associations of airline pilots from around the world.
