A 28-year-old American woman claims she was arrested and prevented from traveling for being too pretty.
This happened at the Las Vegas airport.
The 28-year-old was arrested last week after she was accused of skipping a restaurant bill, according to a police report obtained by local media.
Her name is Hend Bustami, she would have said that the police arrested her because “they had never seen anyone so beautiful” and accused of having harassed her, according to the American news agency 8 News Now.
The news agency reported that police show that Bustami faces charges of violating airport rules of conduct after she was accused of leaving the Chili restaurant inside Harry Reid International Airport without paying the bill.
Police worked with TSA officials who said a woman with the same description was seen “sleeping near the security checkpoint,” according to the report.
She was found on the baggage claim, but was “belligerent with the officers, claiming that she was being harassed because the officers had never seen anyone as beautiful as she was,” police said, according to the 8 News Now report.
KTNV (another news outlet) added that reports indicated the woman threatened to spit in a police officer’s face, claiming that “the officers were perverts” while arresting her.
The woman is being held on $1,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on October 27.
