
US pilots are on strike and lockout, by demonstrating pickets at more than a dozen airports across the country on Thursday ahead of the celebration of Labor Day.
Pilots demand better working conditions and benefits.
According to a statement from the Airline Pilots Association, the “pilots have, since Thursday been picketing at airports across the country.
These, took place at airports in Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Boston, Orlando, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
Pilots from Delta, Endeavor, JetBlue, Sun Country, Spirit and United airlines participated, ALPA said. It is unclear whether pilots from other airlines have joined the protests as well.
